Ford Fiesta XR2 1981 Black (1:18 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 7.80 x 3.43 x 2.97 in.
Model History and Information: Ford launched the XR2 in late 1981 as the performance version of the first-generation Fiesta, replacing the short-lived 1.3 Supersport. It used a 1.6-litre Kent crossflow engine rated at 84 brake horsepower driving the front wheels through a four-speed gearbox, good for a top speed of around 106 miles per hour. Visually it was set apart by black wheel arch extensions, a body kit, auxiliary driving lamps, round headlamps in place of the standard squarer units and pepperpot alloy wheels. Sales started slowly but reached more than eleven thousand cars in the United Kingdom in 1983, its last full year before the Mk2.
