M10 Tank Destroyer - 72nd Anti-Tank Regiment, 6th Armored Division, Italy, August 1944 (1:43 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 6.24 x 2.80 x 2.66 in.
Model History and Information: The M10 was an American self-propelled anti-tank gun built on a modified M4 Sherman chassis, mounting a 3-inch gun in an open-topped, traversing turret; the open top gave good visibility but left the crew exposed. The United States fielded it extensively, and under Lend-Lease Britain received more than 1,600 examples, converting many to the 17-pounder-armed variant it called Achilles. This edition depicts a vehicle of 72nd Anti-Tank Regiment, Royal Artillery, part of the British 6th Armoured Division. Formed in 1940, the regiment deployed to North Africa in November 1942 and moved to Italy in March 1944, fighting at Cassino before finishing the war in Austria in May 1945.
