1:50 Peterbilt 579 Day Cab Tractor - Legendary Red cab

Model History and Information: Peterbilt introduced the Model 579 aerodynamic tractor at the 2012 Mid-America Trucking Show, and the company lists it today as a Class 8 on-highway truck offered with sleepers from 44 to 80 inches or as a day cab. This 1:50 replica represents the day cab configuration, finished in red on a tandem-axle chassis with a fifth wheel, chrome fuel tanks and mud flaps. In February 2021 Peterbilt unveiled a redesigned New Model 579, the first major update of the truck, with a narrower Metton hood, a three-piece bumper that integrates the forward radar cover for collision mitigation and a fuel economy improvement the company put at 7 percent.
