Model History and Information: The Caterpillar D11, introduced in 1986 as the D11N to replace the D10, is the largest and most powerful bulldozer Caterpillar builds, used mainly in mining to move large volumes of material and rip rock overburden with its high-drive, elevated-sprocket undercarriage. Over the D11N, D11R and D11T generations, Caterpillar offered different dozer blades for the machine, from the standard U-blade to the deep-curvature Carrydozer blade that carries rather than only pushes material. This 1:64 model reflects that range with two interchangeable blades and a rear ripper attachment, letting the same casting represent more than one D11 field configuration.
