1:64 Great Dane Everest 53ft Reefer Trailer
Product Dimensions: 9.94 x 1.59 x 2.53 in.
Model History and Information: Great Dane began in 1900 as the Savannah Blow Pipe Company in Savannah, Georgia, and became The Steel Products Company in 1931, the year its new generation of highway trailers was nicknamed the Great Danes. In the 1940s its early refrigerated trailers used a gas engine and blower to push air over blocks of ice so fresh fruit and vegetables could travel long distances. The company later organized its lines by cargo, and its reefers took the Everest name. Great Dane engineers the Everest for cold chain work, with a wood-free floor that resists moisture, rot and warping. This 1:64 model represents a white 53ft Everest reefer with a front-mounted refrigeration unit, Everest markings on the rear doors and Great Dane mud flaps.
