M1A1 TUSK U.S. Main Battle Tank, 1st Battalion, 35th Armor Regiment (Camouflage) (1:72 Scale)

Product Dimensions: 5.34 x 2.00 x 1.33 in.

Model History and Information: The Abrams combined a 120 mm smoothbore gun, composite armour and a gas-turbine engine into the United States' principal battle tank. Its combat record in the 1991 Gulf War gave it global recognition, and later Iraq operations drove the TUSK package of added protection and remote weapon stations for urban fighting. The type's tactical reputation, reinforced by appearances in modern armour games, should not hide the point of these upgrades: they were practical responses to threats from streets, rooftops and roadside bombs rather than conventional tank duels.
