Model History and Information: The Cat® CT681 is a Class 8 vocational truck Caterpillar designed for demanding, heavy-haul applications, built with a set-forward axle for a longer wheelbase. Caterpillar engineered vertical tie-in plates behind the cab specifically to simplify mounting a concrete-mixer body, one of the vocational configurations, alongside dump, snowplow and super-dump setups, that the truck was tested and marketed for. This 1:87 scale model reproduces the CT681 fitted with that concrete-mixer body.
