Model History and Information: Porsche showed the 918 Spyder as a concept at the 2010 Geneva motor show and put it into production between September 2013 and June 2015, building exactly 918 cars. A mid-mounted naturally aspirated 4.6-litre V8 works with two electric motors for a combined 875 horsepower and 1,280 newton metres of torque, drawn from a plug-in hybrid system that can also run the car on battery power alone. In September 2013 Marc Lieb lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in a Weissach-package car in six minutes and fifty-seven seconds, the first production car to go under seven minutes there.
