Model History and Information: The Porsche 911 (964) Carrera RS 3.8 was unveiled in 1993 as an extreme evolution of the 964 Carrera RS, built to homologate the 3.8-litre RSR race car for international GT competition. Its air-cooled flat-six grew to 3,746cc and was officially rated at 300 hp, using individual throttle bodies and twin ignition. The RS 3.8 carried the wide-body look of the 964 Turbo, a fixed rear spoiler, and three-piece Speedline wheels, while aluminium doors and bonnet, thinner glass and deleted rear seats kept weight down. Porsche built 49 examples plus a pre-production car and a factory racer in 1993, followed by four more in late 1994 to meet homologation requirements. This example is finished in Guards Red.
