Model History and Information: Poland bought forty-eight F-16C and F-16D Block 52+ fighters in the early 2000s under the Peace Sky programme, its first Western combat aircraft and known in Polish service as the Jastrzab, or Goshawk. The fleet is split between two bases: Poznan-Krzesiny and the 32nd Tactical Air Base at Lask in central Poland, home of the 10th Tactical Squadron, which stood up on 1 October 2008 to operate the type.
