F-5B Freedom Fighter 1104/66-9237, ROCAF, 1960s (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 7.9 x 7.9 x 2.9 in.
Model History and Information: This two-seat F-5B was the combat-capable trainer counterpart to the single-seat Freedom Fighter, retaining supersonic performance while adding a second cockpit for conversion and continuation training. Taiwan's Republic of China Air Force received its first F-5Bs alongside single-seat F-5As under the US Military Assistance Program from 1965, and by the early 1970s operated around eleven of the tandem-seat variant. In ROCAF service the F-5B prepared pilots for the growing Freedom Fighter and later Tiger II fleets, while remaining able to fly operational sorties. The aircraft served through the era when the F-5 formed the backbone of Taiwan's fighter defenses across the Taiwan Strait.
