Model History and Information: In November 2021 Croatia signed a contract with France for twelve second-hand Rafale multirole fighters, ten single-seat and two two-seat, to replace its ageing Soviet-era MiG-21s, of which it had been the last operator in Europe. The first six aircraft, drawn from French Air and Space Force stocks, were handed over in France in April 2024 before making their way to Croatia, with deliveries completed in 2025. The Rafale gave the Croatian Air Force a modern, NATO-compatible fighter able to carry a wide range of air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. This model represents one of those aircraft in the 2024 hand-over period, wearing serial 151.
