Sea Harrier FA.2 ZH796, Royal Navy, 2018 (w/ Sea Eagle missiles) (1:72 Scale)
Model History and Information: The Sea Harrier FA2 marked the peak of the Royal Navy's Sea Harrier line, combining short and vertical take-off flexibility with the Blue Vixen radar and AMRAAM missiles for fleet air defence. Built in the mid-1990s, aircraft of this late batch served with 800, 801 and 899 Naval Air Squadrons from RNAS Yeovilton and aboard the Invincible-class carriers before the type was retired in March 2006. The Royal Navy operated no Sea Harriers after that date; airframes surviving into later years, including into 2018, did so as preserved, stored or museum examples rather than in operational service. This model accordingly depicts the aircraft in a post-service context, not an active frontline career.
