Model History and Information: The Cat® 906 is a compact wheel loader used for loading, material handling, and light utility work in construction, landscaping, and agriculture. The M-series update to the 906 carried over the model's small size and Cat work-tool compatibility while refining the operator's station and controls, and Caterpillar also offers a battery-electric version of the 906 for zero-exhaust-emissions operation. Like the rest of the line, the 906M pairs a high-torque engine with a hydrostatic power train and shift-on-the-go locking differentials, keeping it maneuverable in tight yards and jobsites where a larger wheel loader would not fit.
