Model History and Information: This Micro Constructors miniature shows a Cat compact track loader fitted with a broom attachment instead of a bucket. Diecast Masters names its micro compact track loader the Cat 299C on the printed cards of its Micro Constructors packs. The 299C rides on a fully suspended, steel-embedded rubber track undercarriage, which Caterpillar says gives a smooth ride, better load retention and greater productivity, and the steel imbeds support the full width of the track. The machine uses a vertical lift design for extended reach and lift height during truck loading and material placement, and its C-Series engine is the Cat C3.4 DIT. The miniature sits on an interlocking landscape base inside a clear display cover.
