CF-5D Freedom Fighter 116807, 419 Sqn., RCAF, ca.1979 (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 7.9 x 7.9 x 2.9 in.
Model History and Information: The CF-5, officially the CF-116, was the Canadian licence-built Northrop F-5 produced by Canadair; the two-seat CF-5D accounted for 46 of the 240 airframes built, with Canadian deliveries beginning in late 1968. No. 419 Squadron, based at CFB Cold Lake, Alberta, operated CF-5s in the adversary or aggressor training role, frequently in quasi-Warsaw Pact colours, providing dissimilar air-combat training to Canadian and allied aircrew. That role continued until the CF-5 was withdrawn from Canadian service in 1995. This model represents a two-seat CF-5D of that era.
