Model History and Information: The Dodge WC series was a large family of light 4x4 military trucks built from 1940 to 1945 and used throughout the Second World War by the United States and its allies. The WC-6 was one of the half-ton command and reconnaissance cars in the range: an open-bodied vehicle used to carry officers and staff and to perform liaison and scouting duties near the front line. Rugged and simply built, these Dodge command cars served in every theatre of the war. This model is finished in the markings of the U.S. 2nd Armored Division as it appeared in France in the summer of 1944, during the Allied campaign in Normandy and the advance across France.
