Model History and Information: Taiwan's Republic of China Air Force is a long-standing F-16 operator and contracted for a batch of newly built F-16 Block 70 aircraft, the latest new-production standard of the type. The Block 70/72, marketed as the Viper, introduces the AN/APG-83 active electronically scanned array radar, a modernized cockpit and mission computer, and a structural service life extended well beyond earlier variants. These jets complement Taiwan's upgraded fleet of earlier-model F-16s. Serial 6831 is presented as a two-seat F-16D Block 70 in 2025 markings. The two-seat layout supports both conversion training and operational missions that benefit from a second crew member managing sensors and systems.
