Model History and Information: The F-16I, named Sufa (Storm) by the Israeli Air Force, is a two-seat derivative of the Block 52 Fighting Falcon. Israel selected it in 1999, and deliveries against an order of 102 aircraft began in 2004. It is distinguished by conformal fuel tanks along the upper fuselage for extended range and by extensive Israeli-developed avionics and electronic-warfare equipment. No. 107 Squadron is an established Israeli F-16 unit. In June 2025, Israeli aircraft, including F-16I types, took part in Operation Rising Lion, a series of strikes on sites in Iran during a short conflict that month. Serial 874 is presented in Israeli Air Force markings from that period.
