Model History and Information: This model depicts a fictional, speculative what-if scheme rather than any real aircraft or historical event. The YF-23 was a 1990 Advanced Tactical Fighter prototype; only two were built, the design lost the competition to the YF-22, and it never entered squadron service. Consequently no F-23 ever operated as an adversary-air jet, and none flew with the 65th Aggressor Squadron at Nellis Air Force Base. The markings imitating a Russian Su-57 are an artistic concept applied to the losing ATF airframe. Real aggressor units at Nellis fly dedicated adversary aircraft, but the F-23 was never one of them.
