Model History and Information: For the 2024 display season the Royal Danish Air Force chose F-16 tail number E-006 as its new solo display aircraft, taking over from the previous jet E-191, which was repainted grey and sent to support Ukraine. E-006 carries the Dannebrog theme, the Danish national flag, in a refreshed livery that also marks the fiftieth anniversary of the F-16's first flight in 1974, with the flag rendered in several shades of metallic paint. The aircraft debuted at the Farnborough International Airshow and toured the European show circuit that year, near the end of Denmark's long F-16 era as the type gives way to the F-35.
