Model History and Information: This 1:72 scale edition reproduces a Leopard 2A4 in a mottled, rosette-style disruptive camouflage that collectors call the Jaguar scheme, after its leopard-spot appearance. Austria's Bundesheer acquired 114 second-hand Leopard 2A4 tanks from the Netherlands in 1996, entering service in 1997 as part of its Mech-Paket modernisation programme. KNDS, formerly Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, identifies the Leopard 2A4 as a 55-tonne main battle tank armed with a 120 mm L44 smooth-bore cannon.
