MIG-15bis "Chinese Opera House Scheme" Chinese People's Volunteers Air Force (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 5.94 x 5.51 x 2.02 in.
Model History and Information: Chinese People's Volunteer units flew the MiG-15bis over Korea alongside Soviet and North Korean regiments, contesting the corridor American pilots called MiG Alley. Some of their fighters were bought with money raised at home: wartime campaigns across China collected donations to buy aircraft for the front. The best known effort was led by the Henan opera star Chang Xiangyu, who toured the country performing the story of Hua Mulan and, together with other opera troupes, raised 1.52 billion yuan of the pre-1955 currency, enough to fund a single fighter for the Chinese People's Volunteer Air Force.
