SKU HA2428

Product Dimensions: 6.4 x 6.4 x 2.2 in.

Model History and Information: The MiG-15bis was a shock to United Nations air forces when it appeared over Korea. Small, fast and heavily armed with cannon, the swept-wing jet could out-climb and out-turn much of what the Allies had in theatre and forced the rapid deployment of the F-86 Sabre to counter it. Flown by the Chinese People's Volunteer Air Force, the type gave China its first modern jet fighter and its first taste of jet-versus-jet combat. The two fighters duelled over MiG Alley for the rest of the war. This model wears the markings of a Volunteer Air Force MiG-15bis from that period.
