MIG-31BM "Viktor Prudnikov" Red 12, Russian Air Force, 2017 (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 9.4 x 14.6 x 4.1 in.
Model History and Information: The MiG-31BM is a deeply modernised version of the Foxhound long-range interceptor, upgraded under a Russian programme that passed state testing in 2008. It added a new mission computer, greatly extended target detection range reported at around 320 km, the ability to track many targets simultaneously and compatibility with long-range missiles including the R-33S and the newer R-37, along with a limited strike capability. Some Russian interceptors carry the names of notable commanders: Viktor Prudnikov (1939 to 2015) was a General of the Army who served as commander-in-chief of Russia's Air and Missile Defence Forces and was made a Hero of the Russian Federation. That this exact airframe bore his name was not independently verified.
