$134.99
SKU HA9804

Model History and Information: The Mirage IIICJ, known in Israeli service as the Shahak, was the Israeli Air Force's first Mach 2 fighter; 70 single-seat examples were delivered between 1962 and 1964. It equipped 101 Squadron, Israel's first fighter squadron, formed in May 1948 and a core Mirage operator. During the 1967 Six-Day War, Mirage pilots claimed the majority of the Arab aircraft downed in air combat. After France's post-war arms embargo, Israel sustained the fleet independently, and the Shahak continued front-line service into the early 1970s in the air-defense and interception role depicted here. Specific individual airframe and basing details for this aircraft are not independently confirmed.
