Model History and Information: The single-seat Rafale C equips France's air arm in the multirole mission. Escadron de Chasse 3/30 'Lorraine', based at Mont-de-Marsan, is a member of the NATO Tiger Association, whose squadrons traditionally wear tiger-themed markings. For the NATO Tiger Meet held at Mont-de-Marsan from 13 to 24 May 2019, the unit applied a dramatic all-black 'Dark Tiger' scheme to one of its Rafale C aircraft. Widely photographed, the jet drew top honours at the event. The Lorraine squadron carries forward the heritage of the Free French 'Lorraine' formation of the Second World War. This model reproduces that 2019 Tiger Meet special colour scheme.
