Model History and Information: The Su-30MK2 is a KnAAPO-built, modernized version of the Su-30MKK, adding improved avionics and expanded weapons options including an anti-ship strike capability. China acquired the type in the 2000s, and a couple of dozen remained in service in the mid-2020s, operated within its naval aviation arm for maritime missions over surrounding seas. The two-seat aircraft can carry guided air-to-surface and anti-ship missiles alongside air-to-air weapons, as reflected in typical display loadouts.
