Model History and Information: The Su-35S is the principal single-seat multirole development of the Su-27, entering Russian Aerospace Forces service in February 2014. Built around a strengthened airframe, thrust-vectoring AL-41F1S engines and the Irbis-E radar, it is designed chiefly for air-superiority missions while retaining a strike capability. Russian aircraft are frequently equipped with self-protection electronic-warfare systems, including podded Khibiny jammers, to counter radar-guided threats. The type has been produced in substantial numbers for domestic units. The particular registration, unit and mission history attributed to this later-production example could not be independently verified, so no individual claims are made here.
