Model History and Information: Manufactured by Volkswagen, the Type 2 Kombi took its name from the German Kombinationskraftwagen, literally "combination motor vehicle," describing its dual role as both a passenger carrier and a cargo hauler. Volkswagen produced the Kombi as part of its Type 2 (T1) van line from 1950 to 1967. This 1:43 scale replica reproduces a 1960 Volkswagen T1 Kombi with a matching pull-behind trailer, both finished in a Coca-Cola paint scheme, with a large Coca-Cola bottle accessory mounted on the van’s roof rack and a small trailer styled after the pop-up soda stands used for roadside sales during that era.
