Model History and Information: The Cat® AD60 is an articulated underground mining truck built to haul ore through tunnels, with a low-profile design and large payload suited to hard-rock underground operations. It is powered by a Cat C27 engine rated at 805 hp (600 kW) gross, driving a nominal payload capacity of 60,000 kg (132,277 lb). Caterpillar paired the AD60 with a mechanical drivetrain and power-shift transmission for operating efficiency and control on steep grades and poor underfoot conditions.
