Model History and Information: This Diecast Masters edition represents 1:50 Caterpillar Twenty Centennial Model. The Twenty was the first machine Caterpillar designed entirely on its own after the 1925 merger of Holt and Best. Introduced in 1927, it established a new Caterpillar product line rather than continuing an inherited design. Its centennial editions commemorate a small track-type tractor whose importance lies less in its horsepower than in marking the point when the newly formed company began designing under its own name.
