Model History and Information: The Cat® 330 is Caterpillar's Next Generation excavator in the roughly 30-tonne class, built for site preparation, utility work, and mass excavation. It delivers 260 hp (193.8 kW) net power, reaches a maximum digging depth of 23.7 ft (7,250 mm), and has an operating weight of about 69,200 lb (31,400 kg). Caterpillar equipped this generation with larger hydraulic pumps and larger buckets for faster, more accurate digging, paired with integrated technologies intended to reduce fuel use and maintenance costs while raising output on large construction projects.
