Model History and Information: International launched the HX Series on 1 February 2016 as its premium Class 8 vocational truck, the first product released under the company's Navistar 4.0 strategy. Two versions cover most severe-service work: the HX520 with the front axle set forward, favoured for heavy haul tractors, construction dumps and crane or stake platforms, and the HX620 with the axle set back. Both are built around a cab validated for punishing vocational duty, and can be ordered with engines rated up to around 600 horsepower.
