Model History and Information: The Alpine A290 is Alpine's first series-production electric model, revealed in June 2024 at the Le Mans 24 Hours and built on the CMF-BEV platform it shares with the Renault 5 E-Tech. Alpine widened the track, retuned the suspension with hydraulic bump-stops and added sports seats and its own front and rear styling to turn the Renault 5 supermini into a genuine hot hatch. The range-topping GTS uses a 217 hp motor drawing on a 52kWh battery, cutting the 0-62mph time to 6.4 seconds while keeping the car front-wheel drive. This example is finished in white.
