Model History and Information: Volkswagen introduced the Caddy in 1982 as a compact commercial vehicle based on the Golf I. The pickup had already been built for the United States since 1979 as the Rabbit Pickup. European Caddys were built by TAS in Sarajevo with a 1.6 litre diesel of 54 PS, a 1.6 litre petrol of 75 PS and a 1.8 litre petrol of 95 PS, with a payload of 625 kg. Production at TAS ended in 1992 after 94,000 units. This version is finished in Mars Red.
