Product Dimensions: Pending manufacturer confirmation.
Model History and Information: The F-111F was the final F-111 variant built for Tactical Air Command, with 106 produced between 1970 and 1976 and powered by TF30-P-100 turbofans. The Pave Tack targeting pod was added in the early 1980s. The 48th Tactical Fighter Wing, based at RAF Lakenheath in England, flew the F-111F in Operation El Dorado Canyon against Libya in 1986 and in the Gulf War of 1991, when the F-111Fs dropped a large share of the laser-guided bombs used in the conflict. The Air Force retired the type in 1996, the year it was officially named Aardvark. This model represents F-111F serial 72-1448, marked for the commander of the 48th Tactical Fighter Wing in August 1991.
