Model History and Information: J-5011 is a single-seat F/A-18C of the Swiss Air Force assigned to Fliegerstaffel 11, a tiger-badged squadron and long-standing Swiss participant in the NATO Tiger Meet, the multinational exercise whose members traditionally apply tiger-striped liveries. Switzerland's fleet of 34 Hornets was assembled under licence at Emmen and delivered between 1996 and 1999, serving in the air-policing and air-defence role from hardened Alpine bases.
