Model History and Information: The KF-5E was the single-seat F-5E Tiger II assembled under licence in South Korea by Korean Air, which built KF-5E and KF-5F aircraft between 1982 and 1986. The Republic of Korea Air Force had first received F-5Es in 1974, and the locally produced machines carried the name Jegongho. Serving as a light day fighter, the type remained in Korean use for decades before being progressively replaced by the indigenous FA-50 and later fighters. This model depicts a KF-5E in Republic of Korea Air Force service.
