Model History and Information: Land Rover Classic built the Works V8 to mark the marque's 70th anniversary, paying homage to the 1979 Series III Stage 1 V8 and the 50th Anniversary Edition, and reworked the round-nosed Defender 90 and 110 Station Wagon with a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8 sourced from Jaguar Land Rover, tuned to 405PS and 515Nm and paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox. Announced in January 2018, the programme covered no more than 150 vehicles worldwide, each with reconfigured suspension, upgraded brakes, 18-inch diamond-turned Sawtooth alloy wheels and a contrasting black roof. Inside, Recaro sports seats trimmed in Taurus leather sat within a full Windsor-hide cabin. The 90 Station Wagon reached 60mph in 5.6 seconds and topped out at 106mph, figures far beyond the standard production Defender's output of 122PS and 360Nm.
