StuG.III Ausf.A MICHAEL WITTMANN
Product Dimensions: 2.94 x 1.60 x 1.07 in.
Model History and Information: Michael Wittmann's early service was in the Waffen-SS Leibstandarte, and he served with the unit's assault-gun battery before becoming associated with the Tiger tank. That makes an early StuG III subject a useful reminder that his career did not begin in a Tiger. The Ausf. A itself was the first production version of the German assault gun, a low Panzer III-based vehicle intended for direct infantry support with its short 7.5 cm gun. The rubble treatment is a model presentation, while the history concerns the real vehicle and its early role.
