Shenyang J-6 Fighter (Red 2279) (1:72 Scale)
Product Dimensions: 8.01 x 4.92 x 2.12 in.
Model History and Information: China's J-6 was a licence-built development of the MiG-19 that outgrew its Soviet parent in production scale. Shenyang assembled the first aircraft from Soviet parts in 1958, then continued domestic manufacture into the 1980s. More than 4,500 were built, and export F-6 versions served across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. The aircraft's long career makes it more than a Cold War relic: it is a bridge between Soviet jet design, Chinese industrial growth and the regional wars in which export versions flew. The configuration and markings represented are: Shenyang J-6 Fighter (Red 2279) (1:72 Scale).
