Model History and Information: The Cat® 611 is a wheel tractor-scraper, a self-propelled machine that cuts, loads, hauls, and spreads earth in a single pass without needing a separate loader or hauling truck, work suited to general earthmoving and site-grading. It belongs to Caterpillar's family of open-bowl scrapers, a simpler single-engine configuration than the twin-engine elevating scrapers Caterpillar also builds, aimed at jobs that do not call for the largest scraper classes. This 1:64 scale Play & Collect model reproduces the 611's tractor unit and open bowl chassis. Diecast Masters markets the model as a collectible rather than a toy, distinct in scale and subject from the larger 1:50 scrapers, mining trucks, and excavators also in the Diecast Masters catalog.
