Model History and Information: The Volkswagen Type 2 T1 was built from 8 March 1950 until the end of the 1967 model year in Germany. The Samba was the luxury version, officially the Kleinbus Sonderausführung, and was sold in the United States as the Microbus Deluxe and Sunroof Deluxe. It had two-tone paint, eight skylight windows in the roof and curved rear corner windows, giving up to 23 windows, and a large fabric sunroof was available. The corner windows were dropped from the 1964 model year. This version is finished in Violet / Blanc.
