Model History and Information: This 1:87 scale SIKU model reproduces an American-style tractor unit with chrome details, towing two three-axle cargo trailers linked by a dolly. Combinations like this, using a converter dolly to link a second full-length trailer behind the first, are known in the US as turnpike doubles; permitted on certain toll roads under grandfathered federal rules, they let a single tractor haul close to double the freight of a standard single-trailer rig. The model runs on 22 wheels fitted with rubberized tyres.
