Model History and Information: This Diecast Masters edition represents 1:16 Caterpillar Twenty 100th Anniversary Scale Model. The Twenty was the first machine Caterpillar designed entirely on its own after the 1925 merger of Holt and Best. Introduced in 1927, it established a new Caterpillar product line rather than continuing an inherited design. Its centennial editions commemorate a small track-type tractor whose importance lies less in its horsepower than in marking the point when the newly formed company began designing under its own name.
