Model History and Information: The G99 BMW M5 Touring combines a 4.4-litre V8 and an electric motor in a plug-in hybrid drivetrain. BMW lists standard system output at 535 kW (727 hp) and torque at 1,000 Nm, delivered through M xDrive. AC Schnitzer offers upgrades for the G99 Touring, including engine calibration, aerodynamic components, wheels and interior details. Its performance package is specified at 596 kW (810 hp) and 1,100 Nm, using an additional control unit. The tuner says the unit changes boost-pressure and air-mass inputs while retaining the standard engine protection parameters.
