1:18 Lada Niva White #182 Jabouille/Sardou Paris-Dakar 1984
Product Dimensions: 8.14 x 3.67 x 3.59 in.
Model History and Information: In 1984, former Formula 1 driver Jean-Pierre Jabouille took part in the Paris-Dakar rally alongside his friend, singer Michel Sardou, in one of the Lada Niva entries fielded by the French Lada importer's official team. This white Niva, car number 182, represents that entry. The Niva itself, launched by Soviet manufacturer Lada in 1977, was one of the first monocoque, permanent four-wheel-drive off-roaders, which made it a credible if unlikely choice for the Paris-Dakar's long-distance desert stages during the 1980s, when the event drew both factory rally-raid teams and celebrity or amateur crews.
