Model History and Information: Nissan introduced the R35 GT-R in 2007 under the Nissan name, without the Skyline badge. Its VR38DETT twin-turbo V6 drives all four wheels through a rear-mounted dual-clutch transaxle, a layout central to the car's performance concept. For the Japan-market 2025 range, Nissan listed a Premium Edition with the VR38DETT engine and GR6 transmission and added an optional Blue Heaven interior. R35 production ended in August 2025 after approximately 48,000 cars. The Premium Edition thus belongs to the closing chapter of a generation produced for nearly two decades.
