Model History and Information: The International Race of Champions, or IROC, was Roger Penske's one-make series that put leading drivers from Formula 1, IndyCar, NASCAR and sports-car racing into identically prepared Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0s across the 1973-74 season, with rounds including Daytona International Speedway. This model recreates the red, number 6 car entered for A.J. Foyt, the only driver to have won the Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and 24 Hours of Le Mans, carrying the Goodyear and Union 76 markings common to the IROC fleet.
